These were recorded on a week’s sail from Falmouth in Cornwall to Milford Haven, Wales, via the Isles of Scilly, Padstow and Lundy.

We were sailing northward about 5 miles off Lundy Island, spinnaker up under a southerly wind and making about 10 knots. A pod of about twenty dolphins came from all around and lined up to play on our bow wave for fifteen minutes or so. Five grown men were reduced to excited little boys.

The minute we slowed down, they decided we were no fun any more and vanished.
